DUBAI: Iran鈥檚 Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Monday warned his country鈥檚 government not to be deceived by European signatories of the nuclear deal with major powers, now under threat after a US withdrawal.
鈥淎merica鈥檚 enmity toward Iran is obvious. Our enemies鈥� heart is full of enmity toward the Islamic Republic ... our officials should not be deceived by the Europeans ... don鈥檛 be fooled by Europeans,鈥� Khamenei said, state TV reported.
Washington鈥檚 major European allies opposed US President Donald Trump鈥檚 decision to abandon the deal and have been trying to salvage the pact.
